Negligence Leads to Delay in Diagnosing Cancer

Medical Malpractice Settlement

Our client underwent a mammogram that showed a one centimeter nodule in the right breast. Rather than ordering the appropriate additional views or tests, the doctor in question opined the possibility of malignancy was low and never notified our client of the abnormality.

Our client was diagnosed with breast cancer two years later, a delay that was caused by the negligence of the doctor in question. Our client eventually required a mastectomy, which may have been avoided had her treatment begun when the nodule was first recognized. Rosen Louik & Perry resolved this matter out of court.
