PENNIES FROM HEAVEN GETS RECORD SETTING CONTRIBUTION

The 14th Annual Apple Open was a record setting year for funds raised for Pennies From Heaven. Due to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, and a sold out field of golfers, the Apple Open raised almost $50,000. Highmark’s incredible commitment as a premier sponsor was instrumental in reaching a record total. All monies raised will be used to provide financial assistance to the families of children admitted to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh with the goal of allowing parents to remain with their sick child for the entire hospital admission. Pennies strives to meet any and all needs that economically challenged parents may have such as wage supplementation, money for day care and transportation. There are no administrative fees associated with the Fund as it is run entirely by volunteers.

THE PENNIES FROM HEAVEN FUND is a charitable 501(c)(3) organization, established by Jon and Joni Perry. The Fund is administered by the staff at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh as needy families are identified. The law firm of Rosen Louik & Perry, P.C. is a major supporter of Pennies from Heaven.
